Abstract
Teacher professional competence is a very basic requirement in an effort to realize quality education management. This study aims to reveal the professional profile of elementary, junior high school and vocational school teachers in West Java and Banten Provinces, from the aspects of academic qualifications, aspects of mastery of science, aspects of planning, implementing and evaluating learning, and aspects of self-development. The method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, with data collection tools used are observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data obtained from the field were analyzed qualitatively usinginductive analysis techniques. Based on the research results, it is concluded that from the academic aspect, the teachers have obtained a bachelor's degree (S1). Professionalism from mastery of science, teachers generally need to improve their abilities in the scientific or pedagogical fields. In the aspect of learning, teacher professionalism needs to be improved on methodological abilities and aspects of learning innovation. Another finding is that to improve teacher professionalism, the ability to research and write articles needs to be further improved
