TEMPER IMPROVEMENT WITH DIET AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY ACCORDING TO THE KIND OF TEMPERAMENT BASED ON TRADITIONAL MEDICINE OF IRAN

Introduction and aims: we can use diet and physical activity proportional to the kind of temperament for equilibrating human temperament and moderate in individual temperament with reduction of additional elements or interference in body’s nature. This study is done with the aim of temper improvement with using diet and physical activity according to the kind of temperament based on ancient Iranian medicine.
Materials and methods: this clinical trial study has been done in a gym in Ahvaz on the statistic society with 200 people who had four different temperaments in 2017. Temperament condition was determined by using self-questionnaire forms. After making different sportsmen identical, based on the kind of temperaments, they were divided to four groups with 50 populaces in each group then initial questionnaire were filled and their temperament were determined. After that within 90 days their temperament were corrected and again by using questionnaire, changes in their temperament were checked out. Obtained data by using statistic dependent T tests and Pearson’s correlation coefficient and Tukay’s following test in the significant level when p≤0.05 were considered.
Results: Obtained data showed that between gender (p=0.120), marital status (p=0.67), the level of education (p=0.055) and the temperament type, there is no significant relationship. But there is a significant relationship between temperament, sportsmen age (p=0.011) and body's mass coefficient (p<0.001). After our interventions, dependent T-test showed that there is a kind of significant difference between predominant temperament average before and after temper improvement through physical activity in sportsmen who had Blood (p=0.001), Yellow bile (.015), Black bile (p=.038) and Phlegm (p=.002) temperaments.
Conclusion: considering to individual's temperament characters, temper improvement by physical activity and diet which is proportional based on the Iranian ancient medicine is an effective way to reach to the individual's temperament balance.
