Abstract

A 29-year-old female with 36 weeks pregnancy, previously healthy, presented with severe back pain at interscapular region followed by dyspnea, shock and, hemothorax. She had sudden cardiac arrest during diagnostic pleural aspiration. Post-mortemexamination revealed normal descending aorta and massive hemothoraxprobably due to rupture of arteriovenous malformation of intercostal artery or pulmonary vasculature.
